The compressibility of deep overburden will lead the settlement of embankment dam with asphalt concrete core wall founded on it, and the maximum settlement is located in the places with a distance of 2/3 dam height to dam crest. The deep overburden will also appear horizontal displacement to upper and down streams after dam construction. The asphalt concrete core wall has obvious arching effect which will weaken after storage. The stress and deformation characteristics of a 100 m-high embankment dam with asphalt concrete core wall founded on 120 m-deep overburden are analyzed herein by finite element method.%由于深厚覆盖层具有一定的可压缩性,修建在其上的沥青混凝土心墙坝坝体会发生沉降,且最大沉降位于距坝顶2/3坝高处;受坝体的影响,坝基深厚覆盖层也会向上、下游发生水平位移;沥青混凝土心墙存在明显的应力拱效应,蓄水后减弱.以在120 m深覆盖层上修建坝高100 m沥青混凝土心墙坝的有限元分析为例,探讨了沥青混凝土心墙上石坝在深厚覆盖层上的应力变形特性.
