The flood discharge and energy dissipation structure of Xiangjiaba Hydropower Station is characterized as large flow and velocity and complex construction condition .The bottom-flow dissipation adopted in the construction of Xiangjiaba Project is rarely used in high gravity dam construction; for these reasons , we demonstrate the detailed conditions in terms of dissipation forms selection, structure design, construction difficulties and countermeasures , quality control evaluation as well as the operation maintenance investigation .The quality test and operation situation in flood season shows that the design of flood discharge and en -ergy dissipation structure of Xiangjiaba Hydropower Station is reasonable , and the quality is secured .%向家坝水电站泄洪消能建筑物施工条件复杂,且泄洪消能过程具有流量大、流速高等特点。针对重力坝较少采用的底流消能方式,对泄洪消能形式的选择、建筑物设计与施工难点及对策、质量控制效果评价和运行检验等几个方面作了全面阐述。从质量检测及汛期泄洪运行的情况看,向家坝水电站泄洪消能建筑物结构合理,质量有保证。其设计与施工经验可资其它类似工程借鉴。
