Shreyaskar Chaudhary, CEO and managing director of AATCC corporate member Pratibha Syntex Pvt. Ltd., in Madhya Pradesh, India, has been named chair of ASTM International Subcommittee D 13.40 on sustainability of textiles. At Pratibha Syntex, Chaudhary leads a team in the implementation of sustainability initiatives in the textiles industry. He was instrumental in the development of organic cotton and other sustainable textiles, and is a former board member of the Organic Exchange and works with government agencies to promote sustainability in India. He has also presented lectures on sustainable industrial practices at various meetings, symposia, and workshops all over the world.
