In the beginning there was one customer, one critical light, and no rules. As the color industry has grown more sophisticated and complex, the demands on the lab dip have expanded exponentially. What was once, "just match the color" has become, "Just match the color to a DEcmc of 0.30 under three light sources. Use a technical best recipe that is robust, lightfast, and washfast. Use dyes and procedures that are compatible with and available to the production dyehouses. Replace your familiar dyes, or colorants, and/or software with what we determine necessary for your certification. Though your formulas are now the result of a great deal of research, please make multiple submits. Submits and formulas must be in the attached specified formats. Keep the shade offbeat and happy. And by the way ... we need these tomorrow."
