摘要

Throughout this commentary, we have written about AMJ as if it is separate from all of us. Although this approach is appealing because it is narratively simple, it does not reflect the true nature of the relationship between the Journal and the various stakeholders-authors, readers, ad hoc reviewers, editors, and editorial board members-who collectively constitute the Journal. Working with the then-current editorial team, AMJ's editorial review board creates the Journal's expectations, culture, and intellectual tone. Our hope is that the survey results we presented will provide AMJ's stakeholders with a richer understanding of the Journal's points of pride and will help these stakeholders meet the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead for AMJ.
