Though it was created by the september 2013 merger of Sax Macy Fromm & Co. and Bollam, Sheedy, Torani & Co., SaxBST can also trace its heritage back to two New Jersey boyhood friends and neighbors starting a firm together in 1956 - and forward to a very modern interest in New York City The firm that started in 1956, Clifton, N.J.-based Sax Macy Fromm, had grown to 110 employees by the time of the merger. BST, founded in 1972 and headquartered in Albany, N.Y., entered the transaction 90-peo-ple strong. Presently, SaxBST employs 201 people, including 21 equity partners and 27 income partners, across four offices, including the strategic stronghold of New York City. This year, the firm made its Top 100 debut, with 2014 net revenue of $42.7 million placing it at No. 81 on Accounting Today's 2015 Top 100 Firms list.
