The conventional wisdom these days is that the only way to supercharge your growth is through mergers and acquisitions - but someone must have forgotten to tell the partners and staff of Texas' Montgomery Coscia Greilich, which has enjoyed tremendous growth rates since its founding in 2003 without a single merger. "All of our growth has always been organic," explained co-managing partner Tom Montgomery. "While a lot of firms choose to grow through M&A or acquiring principals with a solid client base that they bring with them, we have never hired for that. We think that organic growth is critical to a CPA firm's success. Our strategy is really straightforward - go out and give excellent service, both technically and in your service delivery model; have a service offering that creates a very strong value proposition; and combine that with building strong relationships."
