Is your accounting software package truly integrated or is it merely interfacing? It is important to make this distinction. Some software packages "interface" with other software programs or modules, but users must make entries in more than one module. This happens most frequently with retail point of sale systems. Few actually integrate with an accounting product. Instead, the sales information must be packaged and imported to the accounting system and there is no direct connection.
