Golden Gate University in San Francisco has shattered the financial education mold with a new 15-week course that explores the emotional side of financial planning. The Psychology of Money: Understanding Your Clients From the Inside Out, examines the crucial role a clients' psychological makeup plays in successful financial planning. The course is taught by Judy Barber, the university's adjunct faculty member, and an acknowledged financial expert bringing more than 25 years of experience working with financial advisors and clients into the classroom. In addition to publishing Family Money: A Commentary on the Unspoken Issues Related to Wealth, Barber is an active member of the American Bar Association, the Institute for Private Investors, as well as serving as a resource for top national press such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and Bloomberg Radio.
