The e-resource and e-book landscape can appear overwhelming at times, not only due to the variety of vendors and diverse access and licensing arrangements. To the uninitiated, the e-book universe appears to be swarming with an avalanche of acronyms, and uses language that can seem chaotic, challenging, and indeciperable. When mixed with the myriad stresses on our libraries relative to the current demanding pandemic situation, the burden of navigating through the e-resources ecosystem may seem so far beyond the unfamiliar that librarians and library staff feel hopeless. As Alexander Pope (1734) said, "hope springs eternal". Although the times may feel desperate, in the realm of eresources and ebooks, the application of a little time and effort can provide enlightenment.
