Google may be the worlds most popular research tool, but Carol Smallwood, the editor of this two-volume set, found that most users of Google software rarely look beyond Google Search and explore the many free applications and services that Google also offers. She found that these Google applications can provide practical solutions for librarians and library users who want to use web-based tools to improve their services, advance their research skills, or increase productivity. This publication is a collection of essays written by librarians who actually use Google software to provide the solutions that they write about in these books.
