AIM: To study the antiviral effects of rhIFN-α_1 (Chinese silkworm gene recombinant interferon α_1) on 7 influenza viruses in MDCK cells an din mouse pneumonia caused by PR_8 virus. METHODS: 100TCD_50 virus (H_1N_1, H_2N_2, H_3N_3, type B, type C, clinical A_1, and clinical B) were inoculated into MDCK cells, PR_8 viruses were dropped nasally in Mice, the antiviral effects of rhIFN-α_1 were observed. CONCLUSION: rhIFN-α_1 inhibited the proliferation of Influenza virus and improved the symptom of mouse Pneumonia caused by influenza virus.
