Eighty participants gathered at the Le Meridien Delfina hotel in Santa Monica, California to discuss how the NSS and other interested parties can best address pressing questions in space settlement. Prominent speakers included Dr. Greg Autry of the University of Southern California and member of the recent NASA transition team, Ron Goedendorp of Nanoracks, Dan Rasky and Allison Zuniga of NASA Ames, Dallas Bienhoff of the Cis-lunar Space Development Company, Loretta Whitesides of Virgin Galactic, and George Sowers, Professor of Space Resources at the Colorado School of Mines and former Vice President of Advanced Programs at ULA. Joining these and other thought leaders were Mark Hopkins, Bruce Pittman, Dale Amon, John Mankins, Karlton Johnson, and other prominent representatives of the NSS.
