摘要

Extensive research has recently been launched into the development of direct methanol fuel cells (DMFCs) as methanol is an abundant, inexpensive liquid fuel that can be easily handled, stored, and transported, as compared to hydrogen. Additionally, DMFCs have many advantages such as high energy density, low operating temperature, simple processing, and the possibility of automotive and portable electrical applications.
