A state-of-the-art plant for manufacturing carbon fibre for use in a future BMW electric-powered car is to be built in Moses Lake, Washington, USA.rnThe company behind the scheme is SGLAutomotive Carbon Fibers LLC,a joint venture between carbon fibre and composite specialist SGL Group (holder of a 51 % stake) and the BMW Group (49%). During the initial phase, the company will invest US$ 100 million and create 80 jobs.
