摘要

A tasked tracking system updates target tracks by aiming its sensors at the expected target locations, and searching the neighborhoods of these locations until the targets are redetected. A renewal model for the state of a tracking system results in coupled partial differential and integral equations for the density of the "time since last detection process". One can use the densities to correlate tracking capacity with sensor resources. Exact solutions and approximate methods are discussed.
