摘要

Human factors in aircraft maintenance is not a new concept; indeed the industry has been engaged in education, investigation and the management of the impact of the maintenance environment on human performance since the Aloha Airlines accident in 1988. Despite many years of regulation, focus and effort, the maintenance industry still experiences incidents and accidents. Investigations have shown common contributory factors; factors that should perhaps have been addressed by now. However, incidents still recur. So, the question remains as to whether we have successfully identified and actually addressed those factors that influence performance. Are our solutions effective and sustainable? In short, are we learning?
