摘要

Elastomeric/metal rotor hub - developed from the S-92. Fail-safe bearings accommodate blade lead, lag, flap and pitch movement with-out requiring oil lubrication. Split-torque transmission developed from RAH-66 Comanche maintains high speeds for longer durations. Three input modules take power from one engine and divide it between four shafts driving output gear turning the main rotor. Seven composite blades 35ft long, nearly 3ft chord. New aerofoils feature twist, taper and tip shape optimised to increase performance in hover and forward flight.
