An Airbus Military A330MRTT tanker undergoing tests over Spain, lost its air-to-air refuelling boom on 10 September. The A330MRTT involved was an aircraft destined for the UAE Air Force. The boom, which Airbus say separated cleanly, has now been found on the ground. Airbus has recommended that the other A330MRTT boom user, the RAAF, not use the boom until the issue has been investigated.
