PowerFIARM weighs less than 500g - bringing a TCAS-style collision warning system to a wider range of light aircraft and helicopters.rnFlight safety by avoiding collisions is the business of PowerFLARM from Butterfly Avionics, that had its market entry at this years ILA. This innovation is that one device reconciles all the different types of collision warning systems that are in use today. PowerFLARM displays traffic on the basis of transponder signals as well as on information from ADS-B and FLARM-Systems, of which 15,000 units were sold to glider pilots since 2004.
