On June 13, General Atomics Aeronautical Systems Inc (GA-ASI) announced successful flight testing of the UTC Aerospace Systems MS-177 electro-optical/infrared (EO/IR) sensor on a Predator C Avenger unmanned aircraft system (UAS). The MS-177 is an advanced sensor in UTC's Senior Year Electro-optical Reconnaissance System (SYERS) family. The sensor is a seven band multi-spectral system that can be upgraded to ten bands to enhance target detection for maritime applications.
