After 39 years of service the last operational Embraer EMB-326GB Xavantes (AT-26) of the Forca Aerea Brasileira (FAB, Brazilian Air Force) were retired on December 2, 2010. The retirement was marked by a flypast over Base Aerea Natal, the home of 1°/4° Grupo de Aviacao (Aviation Group), the last FAB operator. The unit received its first Xavantes in 1973 and moved to Natal in 2002.
