CAERNARFON AIRPORT recently hosted the first UK trial of unmanned aircraft for search and rescue (SAR) missions, Bristow Group evaluated the Schiebel Camcopter S-100 at the North Wales airfield as part of Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) work to develop the regulations governing beyond-visual line-of-sight UAV operations for SAR tasks. Bristow provides the UK's SAR helicopter service for the MCA with S-92As and AW189s.
