The Bundeswehr has outlined plans to save nearly €10 billion (￡8.3 billion) as part of widescale cuts across most government departments to ease the financial problems affecting the country in the wake of the Euro crisis. A 23-page report has been produced by the ministry outlining where potential savings can be made, most of which involve trimming current Luftwaffe assets or reducing the numbers of aircraftrnto be procured.
