Electronic Attack Squadron 132 (VAQ-132) 'Scorpions' is the first operational Growler squadron and attained "safe for flight operations in the EA-18G" status on September 22, 2009. Equipped with five EA-18G Growlers and 200 personnel, 20 of which are aircrew, VAQ-132 is part of the Electronic Attack Wing, US Pacific Fleet, based at NASrnWhidbey Island in Washington.rnAfter this crucial declaration, VAQ-132 'went on the road' undertaking detachments at Naval Air Weapon Station China Lake, California, NAS Fallon, Nevada for SFARP (the strike fighter advanced readiness program), and Nellis AFB for the mission employment graduation exercise run by the US Air Force Weapons School.
