Production of the Boeing C-17A Globemaster III at Long Beech, California, will continue into 2011 after President Barack Obama signed into law a spending bill on June 24. The measure included $2.17 billion (£1.34 billion) for eight of the aircraft for the US Air Force. Previously,rnit was ruled that no further C-17As would be acquired for the service after the delivery of 205 examples, the last 15 of which were ordered in February this year (see USAF Orders 15 More C-UAs, March, p10).
