Delivery of the Airbus Military A330-200 Voyager tanker-transport to the Royal Air Force has been delayed. The aircraft was originally due to arrive for service at RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, in October 2011, but the first example landed at the base on December 22. However, technical issues have resulted in delivery being delayed. In a statement to parliament on January 10 Peter Luff, Minister for Defence Equipment, Support and Technology, stated that the delays has been caused by technical issues, including hose pipe stability and fuel leaks. They were discovered during refuelling trials with the Tornado GR4.
