"It would be naive to say it doesn't affect us," concedes Rickard Gustafson when starting an interview with AIR International recently in the airline's plush lounge at Copenhagen's Kastrup Airport. Just before he sat down to talk, the TV screens nearby were flashing with news about an initiative by the governments of Denmark, Norway and Sweden to jointly sell their stakes in Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), which still amount to 50% in total (Danish state 14.3%, Norwegian state 14.3% and Swedish state 21.4%). "That the three governments want to exit is nothing new," comments Gustafson dryly.
