China Eastern Airlines signed a deal for 80 Boeing 737 series aircraft, which includes 737 MAXs and 737-800s. Delivery is scheduled for between 2016 and 2020.According to a China Eastern statement released by the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the aircraft are worth $7.4 billion at current list prices. The deal will boost its capacity 13.49%.Separately, the Shanghai-based carrier said it would sell 15 737-300s and 757s with an average fleet age of 17.2 years and 9.6 years, respectively, which are worth CNY1.52 billion ($247 million) at book value.
