Transaero Airlines selected Engine Alliance GP7200 engines to power its new fleet of four Airbus A380 aircraft. The deal, which was finalized in June 2012, makes Transaero the launch customer for the A380 in Russia, the CIS and Eastern Europe. Deliveries begin in 2015. Transaero has also agreed to a 12-year Fleet Management Agreement to cover the maintenance, repair and overhaul of the engines. The engine and Fleet Management Agreement is valued at more than $500 million over the life of the agreement.
