Garuda Indonesia (GA) has placed a firm order for 11 Airbus A330-300s. It is the carrier's third A330 order since July 2010, bringing its total on firm order to 21 aircraft. An Airbus official told ATW the order is valued at $2.5 billion and increases GA's backlog of A330s on order for future delivery to 21. "Deliveries of the 21 aircraft begin at the end of this year; deliveries of the aircraft ordered Wednesday will start in 2014," he said. All aircraft will be powered by Rolls-Royce Trent 700 engines, Airbus said in a release.
