Plaintiffs claim that numerous air cargo carriers and certain of their employees conspired to fix the prices of air cargo shipping services in violation of U.S. antitrust laws. The settling defendants deny liability but have settled to avoid the cost and risk of further litigation and/or a trial. British Airways, Lan and Aerolinhas Brasileiras (Lan/ABSA), Malaysia Airlines, South African Airways, Saudia, Emirates, El Al, and Air Canada have settled these claims and have agreed to pay over $207 million to direct purchasers to, from, or within the United States.
