The UK's attempts to abide by its Brexit referendum and depart the European Union (EU) have been a roller-coaster ride over the past 18 months.With the UK scheduled to leave the EU in March 2019, there is little time left to reach agreement on the many technical points required to keep air traffic flowing. A political declaration agreed to in November by the UK and EU, setting conditions for how they will work after the Brexit separation, calls for an air transport agreement to ensure continued connectivity for airlines within the European trade bloc.
