The Embraer 190AR has been in service since 2004 and, as of January 2010, there were 178 of the type flying with the backlog comprising 90 firm orders and 177 options. The 190AR has so far been the most popular of the manufacturer's E-Jet family. Bombardier's CRJ900LR entered service in 2002 and there were 130 of the type active as of January 2010 and a further 21 aircraft remaining on firm order. A secondary market has yet to develop for either design given their relatively recent entry into service.
