On April 27, the Boston-based startup REGENT CraftInc. launched the world’s first ‘seaglider’, a new all-electricvehicle that is part boat and part plane and will transport passengersalong coastal routes by 2025, flying at 180 mph just afew meters above the water.The all-electric flying machine, developed by MIT-trainedex-Boeing engineers, “combines the speed, comfort, andnavigation systems of an aircraft with the convenience, ma-neuverability, and affordability of a boat. It will be able totransport commercial passengers and critical cargo with arange of 180 miles at a speed of 180 mph leveraging existingdock infrastructure,” the company said.
