Northern California congressional representatives Anna G. Eshoo (D), JackieSpeier (D) and Jimmy Panetta (D) told their constituents they are “extremely disappointed”with FAA’s decision not to adopt a recommendation by the Select Committeeon South Bay Arrivals to move the new ‘SRFER’ NextGen arrival procedureinto SFO to reduce its noise impact on towns south of the airport.The Select Committee – composed of high-ranking elected officials of threecounties, 10 cities, and a school board located south of San Francisco – was formedby Reps. Eshoo, Speier, and Sam Farr in April 2016 to find a regional solution tonoise problems caused by airspace changes made under FAA’s Northern CaliforniaMetroplex project (28 ANR 185).
