If ever the area of Manuel Antonio along the central coast of Costa Rica is abandoned and future explorers come here to learn about its people, they may be surprised to find in the midst of the jungle a seemingly intact Sixties-era Boeing 727-100. To a first-time visitor, it appears as though the airplane has gone down in the jungle, but without suffering too much damage. In reality, the bright orange 727 (which, incidentally, was named Orange in a previous life), surrounded by trees, is situated on several acres that include a variety of traditional condos and bungalow vacation rental units.
