Flying onboard a classic Antonov An-2 biplane is relatively easy for those living in central Europe or Russia. But travelling on a scheduled flight by the type is unusual. Yet, since summer 2009, this has become possible in Germany's North Frisian Islands [Nordfriesland] group in the Wadden Sea, a part of the North Sea.rnThe island of Sylt is one of Germany's most popular vacation spots, where those who deem themselves rich and famous gather during the summer months. A few miles away is the neighboring island of Foehr; but as with so many islands, travelling from one to the other can be time-consuming. From Westerland, the main town on Sylt, it is about half an hour by car or bus to the harbor, followed by another three hours to Foehr by boat.
