Sometimes, flying an airliner is like being an actor in an action movie or stage play. At other times it's like being a wizard, or a priest leading a high mass. Often it's nothing like that, but tonight it seems to be a mix of all those things. It's just after 0100, but our little airport on the western shores of the Persian Gulf is as busy as a Fort Lauderdale liquor store during spring break.
