Hawaiian Airlines (HAL) is adding service to yet another destination; this time it's New York-John F Kennedy International, effective June 4, 2072. Over the last few years, excitement has been brewing at Hawaiian, first with an order for Airbus A350-800s, then delivery of the airline's first A330-200 in April 2010 (Airways, July 2010). Several cities in the Far East have already been added (Tokyo-Haneda, Osaka-Kansai, Seoul-lncheon, and Fukuoka), with Sapporo-New Chitose Airport, on Hokkaido, Japan, planned for November. Some cities on the US mainland, such as Los Angeles and Las Vegas, continue to be served by the A330.
