The EU 6% tariff is illogical, discriminatory, and distorts trade. It restricts access to global world class suppliers, taxes the EU semi-fabricating industry, distorts the economics of the aluminium industries in Europe and increases the price paid by consumers of aluminium products. The EU should immediately suspend the duty on aluminium.
