Exactly 175 years ago, namely in 1841, the American John Goffe Rand invented the tube and applied for a patent. This was the beginning of an impressive success story, the final chapter of which is nowhere to be seen even today: even after 175 years the tube as packaging still convinces with innovative developments. For certain products and applications the tube is simply the best. Reasons enough, therefore, for the tube industry to celebrate this anniversary in a fitting manner.
