A. Postler, GDA This article compares European production and demand for rolled aluminium products and presents an outlook for the market this year. Germany plays a key role on both the supply side and the demand side. Within the European Union (EU27), the German aluminium rolling industry's competitiveness is very good and it has a high market share. The federal republic is also the largest market for rolled aluminium products in Europe, so the country has to adopt the mantle of the EU27's economic driving force.
