摘要

An experimental program has been performed in order to investigate the effect of additions of Mn, Zr and Sc on the micro-structure, hot deformation properties and recrystallisation properties in an Al-4.5%Mg alloy. The present paper deals with the hot deformation properties as tested by hot torsion and laboratory extrusion experiments. The flow stress and hot ductility has been investigated by means of the hot torsion experiments and the coefficients in the constitutive hyperbolic flow stress equation have been determined. The influence of different types of dispersoids on the flow stress and hot ductility has been investigated.
