An employer shall ensure that an individual is trained and successfully meets the applicable requirements of the regulation for a mobile crane, tower crane or derrick depending on the crane the individual will operate. Requirements include a written examination that is developed and administered in accordance with the standards for Educational and Psychological Testing, published jointly by the committee of the American Education Research Association, the American Psychological Association and the National Council on Measurement in Education.
