Every engineer has a Lego ... or Erector Set... or Lincoln Logs memory. It's that moment when a child realizes he or she loves creating and figuring out how things work-and, possibly, thinking of ways they could be designed better. Cultivating engineering at an early age is crucial. These experiences at a young age with building and inventing led me on my path to engineering, with Tinker Toys as my construction material of choice.
