In numbers of units, this year's edition projects production of 27,913, a decrease of 3.7 percent from last year's forecast of 28,982 individual systems. The average unit cost of the systems covered in this year's edition of this analysis is $396,087, as compared with $346,954 in 2009 and $347,903 in 2008. This means that the average unit price of the systems covered in this edition of the Market for Undersea Warfare Systems has increased by 14.2 percent over the comparable figure for last year.
