Undersea warfare is experiencing a resurgence of interest following years of neglect when military funding focus was on airborne and land-based operations. This renewed attention is being driven by China's increasing aggression in the South China Sea around the Spratly Islands, as well as aggressive rants coming out of North Korea. In response, existing undersea warfare systems inventories will be replenished and new models will be developed.
