There is a skill you must possess to advance in an organization. Unfortunately it's one few schools or training courses ever teach. It was a skill introduced to me in a sales course I took while working for Xerox, and it was reinforced by several seasoned and wise mentors. What is this skill? The ability to tell senior management what it doesn't want to hear and survive the experience.
