Flying an EA-6B from the North Arabian Sea on USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75), we were conducting missions in support of Operation Enduring Freedom. My seven- hour flight went smoothly until it came time to land aboard the ship. For the previous six hours, I had been flying during the day at high altitude, in and out of autopilot. As I returned to the ship, I watched the sun go down. Usually, at this moment, I fight the tendency to become tired, and I was doing well.
